Featuring songs of love, children, horses, mice, and welcoming back the light! Although Slavic countries now celebrate New Year’s Day on Jan. 1, January 14 marks the beginning of the new year in the Slavic Orthodox (Julian) calendar and is an unofficial holiday in much of Eastern Europe.
